The title track of Frieder Nagel´s second release is transcending the individual sensation of pressure into a vast space of rhythmically divergent melody-patterns merging into several emotional heights and accompanied by an op-pressive and pulsating sub-base. The final climax of karoshi is leading the tension directly onto the next track, where the strain intensifies with a slight paranoid aftertouch formed by the hypnotic loop of several clarinets triggering a juno 60 and moog sub 37 synthesizer on a ruthless chase through their electric cir-cuits.

Massive arpeggios and broken beats are leading their way, while the listener is presented to a sound-aesthetic which has its origin in late 80´s end-of-the-world sci-fi soundtracks but carries within the complex texture of today´s finest electronica. The following dream ´n´ bass track disburden shapes a melody out of majestic chords, which oppose genre-typically to the speed and complexity of the rhythmic elements whereas its breaks can take a load off your mind while listening.

Last one on the ep named breeze is undoubtedly the most solar contribution of the release. A constantly evolving and growing rollercoaster ride with euphoric piano loops, sirens re-calling Blade-Runners famous opening titles from Vangelis, up-lifting live-drumming, almost symphonical drones, which evolve alongside carefully recorded woodwinds, dreamy vocal samples and a well-fed baseline underneath.
